The hyperlink functions are governed by Word, not EndNote, so follow the instructions above to manage this. *If you use EndNote to manage your references, hyperlinks will return when the software updates your document. See further help via the referencing guide links below. Whichever DOI format you choose, you should choose one style and be consistent. If you are using AMA, URLs are always hyperlinked, but DOIs can be formatted either as metadata (e.g. Open Word and Internet Explorer (or another browser). The newest editions of APA and Chicago now use the hyperlinked format for all URLs and DOIs rather than the non-linked URLs and DOIs preferred in old editions.
